Prisoners’ memorabilia

Prisoners’ memorabilia refer to personal belongings of the prisoners of KL Plaszow or their families, both before, during and after World War II. The group of objects is stored in Musuem of Kraków. It contains such objects as a rosary made from bread and presented to Professor Antoni Wrzosek who was detained in KL Plaszow on ‘Black Sunday’, a wallet made in the furrier workshop in the camp by a Jewish prisoner named Józef, presented to a Polish prisoner in return for bread. An historicalobject of unknown origin is a seashell with an engraving that depicts Rachel’s Tomb, given in deposit to a Polish family.
