Beginning of Memorial construction

On Monday, 1 July 2024, the Memorial construction site was officially handed over to the contractor: the limited liability company trading as Texom. This marked the beginning of construction of the KL Plaszow Memorial Museum building.
The building will host a permanent exhibition and contain facilities necessary to operate the memorial site (the information desk, ticket office, toilets); a car park will also be built in the adjacent area.
The works will be carried out on a plot of land located between Swoszowicka and Kamieńskiego streets. The land is situated outside the historic area of KL Plaszow that is entered in the heritage register.
The contractor will begin work with constructing a temporary fence to enclose the site. This is necessary to provide safety of pedestrians and builders, and security of construction equipment.
