KL Plaszow Memorial – Construction Progress

Work on constructing the Memorial Museum of KL Plaszow is proceeding apace. The building will house the new permanent exhibition and other elements of the museum's infrastructure.
Formwork and reinforcement of the walls of the second floor have been completed. The ceilings above both parts of the building, which are the office and exhibition areas, have also been poured. Skylights have been installed in the office part above the corridor. Masonry work inside the building is underway, as well as excavation and laying of the sanitary sewage system outside.
Simultaneously, the construction of a pedestrian tunnel is progressing, which will connect the Memorial building with the site of the former KL Plaszow camp. On that side, further foundation slabs have been poured, and the reinforcement of the walls has been finished.
We kindly ask visitors and passersby to exercise particular caution near the construction site (around Swoszowicka Street).
