2 June 2023: The KL Plaszow Museum in Kraków entered into a contract with RE-Bau sp. z o.o. for site development in the area of former German Nazi concentration camp Plaszow. The contract was signed by Monika Bednarek, Manager Representative of the KL Plaszow Museum and Andrzej Tombiński, Chair of the Management Board of RE-Bau sp. z. o.o.
Site development in the area of former German Nazi concentration camp Plaszow is the first stage of construction of the KL Plaszow Museum. The tasks commissioned under the contract for site development include: building roads and paths, marking the boundaries of the preserved area of the former camp and the boundaries of two cemeteries, installing signs to indicate major features and historic sites, installing boards to display information and by-laws, completing supporting structures of models intended for people with visual impairment, installing street furniture and open-air showcases. The works will be finalized by 31 December 2023.
The project is financed by Kraków Municipality and the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. The construction of the KL Plaszow Museum is to be complete in late 2025.
