Progress on the pedestrian tunnel construction

The earthworks aimed at constructing the pedestrian tunnel running from the Memorial to the area of former KL Plaszow have entered their final phases. The tunnel runs under Swoszowicka Street.
The pedestrian tunnel is designed to connect the Memorial building with the memorial site area and give visitors convenient direct passage from the new KL Plaszow Memorial Museum building to the post-camp area.
The final phases of earthworks in the tunnel are currently being carried out which involves changes to traffic rules applicable along a stretch of Swoszowicka Street. The street remains open to traffic, but please exercise particular caution in the area of construction works.
The KL Plaszow Memorial Museum is carrying out the project named "The Construction of the KL Plaszow Memorial Museum in Kraków" using co-financing from the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate and Environment 2021-2027 (FEniKS).
