The KL Plaszow Museum is calling all organizations, associations, institutions and individual persons, planning to organize events with a bigger number of people on the area of the former German Nazi concentration camp Plaszow, to inform us earlier about the plans in order to discuss them. The KL Plaszow Museum is the legal guardian and carer of the place. The KL Plaszow Museum was founded to take care of the area of the former camp. Other tasks of the Museum are: research, education, preservation of the memory about the former camp and its victims and protection of nature at the site.
The KL Plaszow Museum reminds that the area of the former camp is open and accessible to eveyone. At the same time the area of the former camp Plaszow is a monument and a war cemetery. During German occupation some five to six thousand people were murdered there and around 35 thousand people were prisoners – mainly Jews and Poles. There are mass graves at the site as well as Jewish cemeteries. All planned events must respect the character of the memorial place.
